Wish List Wednesday: A Sad Story

I am a shopaholic, yes, but I am not an impulsive shopper. I usually have an idea or list of things that I want to purchase. Some of these items are trendy...others are timeless, classic pieces. For example...this summer I have been loving colored jeans. I bought two pairs of them but refused to pay more than 30 dollars because I will not have them in my closet forever. I also purchased a pair of Tory Burch shoes; these shoes are pricy and I consider them to be an investment in my wardrobe. I will wear them for years to come and I can wear them dressy or casual. (Plus I saved up for four months...and coveted them for a year...enough time to decide if I REALLY LOVED them!)

My mother has often told me "You wanna drink wine on a beer budget!" This is true! I have expensive taste! For the most part...I am just drawn to expensive things! A current thing that I fell in LOVE with was a coworkers wallet! It was beautiful! The color was a dusty rose and it looked soooo pretty! Come to find out...it was Coach! For some reason...I began loving it more because the logo wasn't plastered all over the wallet so that it screams "Look at me! I can afford nice brands!" Well...today I found this wallet...on Rue La La! A designer discount store that offers flash sales for specific brands! My initial reaction is, OMG, it's discounted and I have been looking everywhere for a wallet similar to this...The sad part...payday isn't until FRIDAY and I have already spend my shopping allowance! Time to practice self control! Guess it wasn't meant to be! 

On a side note...it was only $40.00 off the retail price of the wallet...maybe a bigger discount is waiting in the wings for me :) or maybe I should just save up and add it to my wish list! 

Looks From Weekly Makeup Basket 6/11-17

Here are a couple looks from this weeks makeup basket! I have to admit, i didn't wear a ton of makeup this week because I have been at my parents house, but I did love not having to dig for products! One of my favorite discoveries has been the Revlon Lip Balm Stains! In this weeks basket I had precious; I paired it with MAC's lip glass in emancipation...I love this combination! It's a really great neutral lip look!

First OOTD Post!

Here is a little outfit of the day! OOTD posts are my favorite blog posts! I started this blog while visiting my family, and I forgot to bring my camera! I can't wait until I get home and can start posting better pictures, but until then...I just have my iPhone and instagram!

I bought this romper last summer at Express! I had to bring up the straps a little (I am too short) so that the romper fit, but it's my favorite piece of clothing to wear on my days off! On my feet...I have my soda shoes that look like Toms. I love them...and I loved the price even more! They were only $16!

Friday Favorite!

Yes! This weeks Friday Favorite... Clouds! I love them! If you asked my close friends and family, they would tell you...I have a cloud obsession! I'm not sure what it is about clouds, but I have LOVED looking at them since I was little! My Mother and Grandpa like to remind my about how when I was in the 4th or 5th grade, I had to make sure I told them what kind of cloud each cloud in the sky was...they were certain I was going to be a weather lady!

Well.. I am no weather lady! But I do LOVE clouds! There is just something about the contrast of the white clouds with a blue sky, and then you mix in the lighting from the sun! AHHHH! I just love them! I have found that the best clouds are seen during sunrise and sunset and during a stormy day where the sun is still shining! I hope you enjoy this lovely collage of clouds!

Yes...I'm a Shopaholic!

Remember how I talked about DailyLook? Well I caved! I placed an order! I was holding strong until I saw this beautiful dress! I have been looking for a maxi dress that I could wear to work, and I found it! I will have to wear a cardigan over it, but that's ok! I also got a necklace and another mint top...guess I had a thing for minty things today! Can't wait until it arrives!

New Favorite Combination!

Well, the weekly makeup basket is going well! I did end up adding two new products that I purchased on Sunday to the basket. One of them was the color tattoo in pomegranate punk! I had put the shade 'bad to the bronze' in the basket for the week and quickly reminded myself that I did not like to use this product with the NAKED pallet everyday. It is just too bronzy and shimmery to use every day!



When Maybelline first released their color tattoos I stayed away from their 'non neutral' looking colors. I was looking for something comparable to MAC's paint pots, as I had never tried these before due to their price. I was happy with Maybellines product! Tough as toupee was my favorite to wear as a base, bad to the bronze was great by itself or with matte colors, but it has too much shimmer to wear with the NAKED pallet. I recently rediscovered this product and decided it was time to venture out and try a bolder color! I went for pomegranate punk! I thought it would work well with my neutral shadows and give more of a pinkish tint to my look! I absolutely LOVE this color tattoo with my NAKED pallet! Once I use up one of the products, I want to try out the orange and teal color in the line! Here is one of the eye looks from this combination. I used 'naked' as an all over lid color and to blend; 'sin' is in my inner corner; and 'buck' is in my crease; Maybelline's pomegranate punk was used as a base!

Daily Look!

I'm sure you have heard of Daily Look! I am obsessed with this website! I love that you can go online and there is an outfit put together! I have a lot of outfits that I like on this website, a few shirts are in my cart and I plan on purchasing them soon, but all of the necklaces that I LOVE are sold out! It's such a bummer! Anyways, I thought I would share some of my favorite looks from this website! Enjoy!

I also LOVE this bottom look! I am so bummed the top is sold out! I hope they restock it soon so I can purchase it! This is a really great site, even if you don't purchase anything, it gives you really great ideas as far as styling goes!

Wish list Wednesday!

If you can't tell from the title of my blog...I am a shopaholic! It's a problem! I spend way too much time thinking about new products and things I would like to add to my collection and wardrobe! I blame all of this on youtube, instagram, and blogs! I just get so many ideas! Alas...I do not have an endless supply of money to buy all of the things I want! :(

My shopping addiction seems to go in waves... I had a conversation with my friend one night it went something like this:

     Me: "I don't have a shopping addiction, I just like boots a lot!"
     Friend: "Yes....and last week it was purses....the week before that it was jeans...and this week it's                   boots...but I still love ya!"

Anyways...lately I have been eyeing jewelry! Specifically Michael Kors! I don't know what it is about his line of jewelry and watches. I can find one of his pieces and instantly fall in love with it not even knowing it was designed by him! Recently, one of my favorite youtubers, missglamorazzi, showed her new buckle ring on instagram...I fell in LOVE! Turns out its MK!

This little beauty is at the top of my wish list! I made it one of the first rewards I will receive when I accomplish one of my healthy lifestyle goals!


It was a struggle to get a good picture of the ring, I got one in gold...but it's the rose gold on I'm craving!

Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale!

Hey Beauties! Today is the start of the VS semi annual sale in stores! I am a sucker for VS! When I bought my first bra, my Mom took me to this store and since then I have only shopped for bras there! Now that I'm in my adulthood, I continue to shop there mostly due to having an odd bra size!

I get giddy twice a year when they have their sale, because this is when I stock up on bras, sweats, and other products! I've already placed an order from their online store that should arrive today! I'm like a kid during Christmas! I can't wait!

If you love this store as much as I do, or if you are in need of some bras or sweats, I recommend going online or going into a store and shopping their sale! I plan on doing a little haul sometime this week with what I purchased and some makeup purchases that I have made...oopps! What can't I say, I truly am a SHOPAHOLIC! Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

Weekly Makeup Basket

As I was browsing around on youtube, I got a really great idea from a beauty vlogger, she talked about how at the beginning of the week she picks out products to use and only uses those products. Its a really great way to use up your make up and ensure that it doesn't go to waste. Even though I don't have a huge makeup collection, I though it would be an awesome idea! I have vowed to use up products before I go out and buy more...and trust me...I have a huge list! 

Here's this weeks makeup, perfume, and nail polish!

1. Foundation: NARS Sheer Glow - I have had this foundation a long time! I need to use it up so that I can buy another one! I absolutely love this product! I haven't been using liquid foundation for awhile, I've been only using the NARS powder as my skin hasn't been that dry lately. I decided that this week I will use my sheer glow!
2. EyeBrows: NXY eyebrow powder in auburn and Maybelline's great lash clear mascara (I use this as eyebrow gel). 
3. Mascara: Lancome's Oscillation 
4. Blush: Maybelline's Fit Me in deep mauve & a new blush that will be featured in an upcoming post
5. Bronzer: Laura Geller 
6. Eyes:
1. 24 Hour Tattoo in Bad to the bronze and pomegranate punk
2. Urban Decay NAKED pallet: I tend to neglect this pallet because it doesn't fit in my makeup bag :(
7. Eye Liner: Rimmel
8. Concealer: Laura Mercier 
9. Perfume: Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
10. Nail Polish: Revlon Grey Suede

I'm really excited for this project! I hope I will get a lot of products used up...mostly nail polish and eye shadow! I'll let you know how it turns out at the end of the week!

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm

I have struggled for years to find a lip product that I love. Lipstick has never been something I feel like wearing and reapplying throughout the day, plus, I struggle to find a color that works with my skin tone! I had seen a review about Revlon's new lip stain. I was a little skeptical at first because I had tried their first lip stain and HATED it! I went against my gut instinct and drove to Target and picked one up to try!

At first, I wasn't sure about the color... I picked up the lightest color 01 Honey. It looked nudeish in the tube, but when I applied it, it looked reddish pink on my skin. I decided to wear it all day despite my first reaction. I immediately noticed that it didn't feel like lipstick on my lips! I loved the lasting power! It literally stayed on my lips during my 8 hour shift without having to reapply! I was sold!

I wore this color daily for the next few days, I received compliments on my makeup and was asked what I was doing differently, I guess lipstick really does complete a look! I recently picked up another color from this line...and I may go back and get more! I have found my go to lip product!!!!

An Adventure Cooking: Tofu Stirfry

I am not much of a cook, most of my meals consist of take out! You could imagine my excitement when I created my own recipe and it turned out edible and delicious! It wasn't a hard thing to cook, but I am super excited about it, so I thought I would share what I did!  

First, I drained my tofu, I had a co-worker tell me that it's best to put a plate on top and below the tofu with a paper towel to drain most of the water. I let the tofu sit like this for about an hour. It worked great! I was shocked with how much water still drained after I took it out of the package.

I then cut up garlic and onions. I put these ingredients along with butter and cut up tofu in a large frying pan and put the stove on lo. I covered this mixture in pepper, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and a seasoning that I can't remember.

While the butter began to melt, I washed the sliced mushrooms, cut the green pepper, and washed the broccoli! I put all these ingredients in the pan along with some vegetable oil and more seasoning and mixed it all up. I let it simmer for a few minutes and then came back and added a scoop of butter to the top along with more pepper. I think by doing this it helped the veggies cook to perfection!

I let it simmer on high for awhile until the tofu was cooked to how I like it. I then turned the temperature down to low and let it simmer while I made the rice and waited for my family to get home!

Like I said, I was extremely pleased with how this turned out! My brother didn't even know it was tofu! My mom knew before hand, so she claims she didn't like the texture. Next time, I want to add some Italian dressing to the pan while it cooks!

Summer Fashion

The weather is starting to warm up! Wahoo! I am a sucker for a simple short and tank top outfit on those hot Summer days, but who says you can't still look cute? Polyvore is something that is definitely NOT helping my shopping addiction! What Is your favorite Summer essential?

Friday Favorite

This Friday's Favorite is my new Tory Burch Flats! I love these shoes! I have been eyeing these beauties for almost a year! I saved a little each paycheck and finally...these beauties are now mine! Unfortunately, I don't have a really good picture of them, but I am sure you will see them with my upcoming outfit posts :-)

Daily Makeup Products

The title of this post is a little deceiving...I typically don't wear makeup every single day! I have three must have makeup products that I use on an almost daily basis; eyeliner, mascara, and eyebrow powder! The rest of what I wear depends on how much time I have and where I am going. Here is a few of my favorite products that I reach for on an almost daily basis! :)

1. Foundation


I discovered NARS sheer glow foundation last summer and have been hooked ever since! I have never been one for heavy foundation, I love to have my freckles show through my foundation! This foundation gives me even coverage while allowing my freckles to still shine! It's long wearing (for me) and does not clog my pores!

2. Mascara



I must admit that I am a mascara snob! I am very picky when it comes to what mascara I use. I have really sensitive eyes and long eyelashes...so I need something that isn't going to flake and fall into my eyes. The Dior Iconic mascara is by far my favorite! Last time I went to the store, I thought I would try out Lancome's mascara...it's alright, but Dior is still my favorite!




3. Eyebrow Powder


I have red hair, needless to say, my eyebrows are very light! I need to fill them in daily in order for my eyebrows to help frame my face. I found that I love this NYX pallet! It is inexpensive and the color works great! I am not a fan of the brushes that come with the pallet, I use an angled 
brush I bought many years ago from the drugstore. 


4. Blush





My daily go to blush is Melba from MAC! I think the color gives a nice natural look, plus it's really easy to apply! I have a ton of blushes on my wish list, and was really sad when the NARS blush pallet sold out before I could get my hands on it! If anyone has a good blush recommendation, I would love to hear them!

One of my favorite trends this season has been colored bottoms! I wish I could have every color in the rainbow! I have been on the hunt for the LONGEST time (ok maybe only a couple weeks) to find the perfect white button up blouse to pair with my colored denim! Needless to say, I have yet to find one that fits my body type.

After playing around on polyvore, I found this cute white button up! I prefer pairing colored bottoms with nude shoes and bags. I think it keeps the focus on the beautiful bottoms! I found this Jimmy Choo handbag, one day when I am rich I will be able to have one...until then I'm on the hunt to find a similar style!

New Blog!

After a lot of contemplating, I've decided to begin a new adventure and enter the blogging world! For the past few years I have loved reading other's blogs, particularly the beauty and fashion blogs! I've received so many ideas and been introduced to new products. I thought that I would give it a try!
