Wish List Wednesday: A Sad Story

I am a shopaholic, yes, but I am not an impulsive shopper. I usually have an idea or list of things that I want to purchase. Some of these items are trendy...others are timeless, classic pieces. For example...this summer I have been loving colored jeans. I bought two pairs of them but refused to pay more than 30 dollars because I will not have them in my closet forever. I also purchased a pair of Tory Burch shoes; these shoes are pricy and I consider them to be an investment in my wardrobe. I will wear them for years to come and I can wear them dressy or casual. (Plus I saved up for four months...and coveted them for a year...enough time to decide if I REALLY LOVED them!)

My mother has often told me "You wanna drink wine on a beer budget!" This is true! I have expensive taste! For the most part...I am just drawn to expensive things! A current thing that I fell in LOVE with was a coworkers wallet! It was beautiful! The color was a dusty rose and it looked soooo pretty! Come to find out...it was Coach! For some reason...I began loving it more because the logo wasn't plastered all over the wallet so that it screams "Look at me! I can afford nice brands!" Well...today I found this wallet...on Rue La La! A designer discount store that offers flash sales for specific brands! My initial reaction is, OMG, it's discounted and I have been looking everywhere for a wallet similar to this...The sad part...payday isn't until FRIDAY and I have already spend my shopping allowance! Time to practice self control! Guess it wasn't meant to be! 

On a side note...it was only $40.00 off the retail price of the wallet...maybe a bigger discount is waiting in the wings for me :) or maybe I should just save up and add it to my wish list! 

Looks From Weekly Makeup Basket 6/11-17

Here are a couple looks from this weeks makeup basket! I have to admit, i didn't wear a ton of makeup this week because I have been at my parents house, but I did love not having to dig for products! One of my favorite discoveries has been the Revlon Lip Balm Stains! In this weeks basket I had precious; I paired it with MAC's lip glass in emancipation...I love this combination! It's a really great neutral lip look!

First OOTD Post!

Here is a little outfit of the day! OOTD posts are my favorite blog posts! I started this blog while visiting my family, and I forgot to bring my camera! I can't wait until I get home and can start posting better pictures, but until then...I just have my iPhone and instagram!

I bought this romper last summer at Express! I had to bring up the straps a little (I am too short) so that the romper fit, but it's my favorite piece of clothing to wear on my days off! On my feet...I have my soda shoes that look like Toms. I love them...and I loved the price even more! They were only $16!

Friday Favorite!

Yes! This weeks Friday Favorite... Clouds! I love them! If you asked my close friends and family, they would tell you...I have a cloud obsession! I'm not sure what it is about clouds, but I have LOVED looking at them since I was little! My Mother and Grandpa like to remind my about how when I was in the 4th or 5th grade, I had to make sure I told them what kind of cloud each cloud in the sky was...they were certain I was going to be a weather lady!

Well.. I am no weather lady! But I do LOVE clouds! There is just something about the contrast of the white clouds with a blue sky, and then you mix in the lighting from the sun! AHHHH! I just love them! I have found that the best clouds are seen during sunrise and sunset and during a stormy day where the sun is still shining! I hope you enjoy this lovely collage of clouds!

Perfectly Unsuited

Yes...I'm a Shopaholic!

Remember how I talked about DailyLook? Well I caved! I placed an order! I was holding strong until I saw this beautiful dress! I have been looking for a maxi dress that I could wear to work, and I found it! I will have to wear a cardigan over it, but that's ok! I also got a necklace and another mint top...guess I had a thing for minty things today! Can't wait until it arrives!

New Favorite Combination!

Well, the weekly makeup basket is going well! I did end up adding two new products that I purchased on Sunday to the basket. One of them was the color tattoo in pomegranate punk! I had put the shade 'bad to the bronze' in the basket for the week and quickly reminded myself that I did not like to use this product with the NAKED pallet everyday. It is just too bronzy and shimmery to use every day!



When Maybelline first released their color tattoos I stayed away from their 'non neutral' looking colors. I was looking for something comparable to MAC's paint pots, as I had never tried these before due to their price. I was happy with Maybellines product! Tough as toupee was my favorite to wear as a base, bad to the bronze was great by itself or with matte colors, but it has too much shimmer to wear with the NAKED pallet. I recently rediscovered this product and decided it was time to venture out and try a bolder color! I went for pomegranate punk! I thought it would work well with my neutral shadows and give more of a pinkish tint to my look! I absolutely LOVE this color tattoo with my NAKED pallet! Once I use up one of the products, I want to try out the orange and teal color in the line! Here is one of the eye looks from this combination. I used 'naked' as an all over lid color and to blend; 'sin' is in my inner corner; and 'buck' is in my crease; Maybelline's pomegranate punk was used as a base!
